Dear Tumaini Family,

This summer, we’ve witnessed a beautiful story of generosity and hope. A longtime donor, Peggy Oquist, reached out to Tumaini to share that she participates with a group of women in Dress A Girl Around the World. Together, they donated 100 brand‑new dresses sewn with love for girls in need in Kenya.

I met Peggy in California to pick up the dresses, carefully packed into a suitcase that traveled across the world to reach Kenya. Teams from South Hills Church, Valley Christian Church, and others helped distribute them while visiting sponsored children. The joy was unforgettable:

• One little girl was so excited to receive her dress that she wore it proudly to church the very next day.

• In Kolewa, the girls held an impromptu fashion show, twirling and modeling their stylish new outfits with radiant smiles.

This is the heart of generosity — women sewing with love, donors giving with joy, and children rising with dignity and hope. We celebrate the spirit of Dress A Girl Around the World and the happy little girls whose lives were touched by this gift.
