Hello Tumaini friends,
This week, we celebrate the incredible team from Valley Christian Church in Chino, CA who are on a vision trip with Tumaini. Their journey has been filled with joy and purpose:
Meeting their sponsored children face‑to‑face
Engaging with women‑led community‑based organizations (CBOs)
Serving in a medical outreach in Kolewa, along Kenya’s coast
Every handshake, every smile, every prayer shared is a reminder that this is love in action. This is hope alive.
A Sponsorship Story
Among the many beautiful moments this week, one stands out: Melissa meeting her sponsored child, Purity, who is in junior high. Melissa brought a photo book as a gift, and together they laughed, hugged, and snapped selfies. Though they live worlds apart, their bond is undeniable — connected by love and hope.
This is the heart of sponsorship: two lives woven together across continents, reminding us that hope knows no borders.
Kolewa Medical Outreach
The team also spent time along the Kenyan coast, where they joined a two‑day medical outreach. Together with Tumaini Mission Hospital, they brought healing and hope to nine rural villages.
For many families, reliable and affordable healthcare had felt out of reach. Pain and disease had become a way of life, with little expectation of change. But Valley Christian Church and Tumaini Mission Hospital helped restore hope by bringing the clinic directly to the people who needed it most.
From consultations and lab testing to essential medicines and compassionate care, this outreach reminded entire communities that they are seen, valued, and worthy of healing. That is hope through healing.
