Hello Tumaini family,
This Hope Note comes from the red soil of Mosa, where something beautiful unfolded—something far bigger than handing out items.
New Life Church from Nebraska joined us for their very first vision trip, stepping into a community that faces chronic poverty, food insecurity, and limited access to education. Yet on this visit, the story wasn’t about hardship. It was about hope showing up.
As the team distributed new school uniforms, shoes, and snacks to 100 children, the smiles told the real story. These gifts met a basic need, yes—but they carried a deeper message: You are seen. You are loved. You matter.
For children who often feel forgotten, a two‑hour drive from Tumaini Kilimanjaro Guest House became a road trip toward dignity. Church members laughed with the kids, handed out uniforms and shoes, offered snacks, and spoke words of encouragement. It wasn’t the items that changed the atmosphere—it was their presence. Their willingness to show up. The reminder that God has not overlooked Mosa.
In Mosa, where education is often seen as a luxury, child sponsorship is breaking generational cycles of poverty—and partnerships like this accelerate that transformation.
New Life Church came to see what Tumaini International is all about. What they discovered is that hope grows fastest when people choose to stand together.
Thank you for being part of this story.
With gratitude,
The Tumaini Team
