Meet Elizabeth!

Some stories remind us why hope matters and how your partnership changes lives. Elizabeth’s story is one of them.
She was only a young child when she lost her mother, her sole provider. Though her aunt welcomed her with love, the family struggled to meet even basic needs. Education and the dream of becoming a doctor felt impossibly far away.
“I had no hope,” Elizabeth remembers. “But when Tumaini came into my life, my hopes were rekindled.”
In 2016, through Tumaini’s Child Sponsorship Program, Elizabeth was given the opportunity to attend school. What began as support for her education became the turning point of her life. She studied with determination, graduated high school with strong grades, and in 2021 entered Kenya Medical Training College to pursue Clinical Medicine.
Today, Elizabeth is serving as a medical intern at Machakos Hospital, caring for patients with compassion, skill, and a heart shaped by her own journey.

Her aunt says it best: "She was educated through Tumaini, and now she is almost a doctor. Soon she will be helping the community. I am very grateful.”
