Allowing co-op groups to work and come out of extreme poverty remains one of the most effective ways to help the poor. Through these co-ops, popularly known as community-based organized (CBOs), Tumaini empowered over 33,000 beneficiaries in 2020. Last year was especially monumental for Tumanthane CBO. Tumaini partnered with them to sink a borehole for clean drinking water that will impact the larger community significantly for many years to come. There are a few steps left before the water can be supplied to the larger community—solar power, piping, kiosks—are some of what is left to complete the project. If you would like to donate to this cause, please do so using the suggested giving levels.
Thank you for empowering the poor economically…one village at a time.
