Sponsorship Opportunities

Over the last two weeks, one of our partner foundations has funded new sponsorships to 122 vulnerable children and their families.  These communities in the arid regions of Taita, Taveta, Kitui and Kwale Counties are in the front lines of poverty. We are grateful to God and the funders for the opportunity to provide tangible hope to communities that are in desperate need for help.

A New Van

I am also honored to share the joy of an all-weather new van for Tumaini in Kenya.  If you have been to the villages in remote parts of Kenya, you know how much we appreciate this kind of a van!  Thank you to everyone who donated funds for the purchase of this vehicle last December.  Being that this was a custom-made vehicle, plus the interruption of the Covid 19 curfews and lockdowns, it took the dealer much longer than anticipated to deliver the vehicle.  This will be a huge help to our field staff as they provide services to the children and their families.

COVID-19 UPDATE

As of Wednesday September 30th, 2020

  • The daily positivity cases continue to go down, good news! 

  • 38,529 total confirmed cases (1,181, slightly lower than last week)

  • 711 deaths (the number went slightly higher this week)

  • 47 Counties affected, covering the entire country 

    We continue to thank God for His protection. All the children and the families that we support remain safe.  Our staff are all doing well and continuing to serve.
