Grateful for the Opportunity
“For those struggling with life, never lose hope, there is a God who sees everything. He has plans for everybody and HE knew you before you were born. Keep on pressing on and God will guide you!” These words were shared by Gladys, one of our alumni early this week. And for good reasons.
Gladys, now 25 years old, works as a Registered Nurse. In her testimony, Gladys was reminiscing how she was raised by her late grandmother and a physically disabled mother. Although the family was poor, Gladys never lost hope of achieving her career dream. That hope came through Tumaini when she was sponsored by Kerry and Janice when she was in grade 5.
Gladys has a deep appreciation for her sponsors: “I was so humbled and grateful for the opportunity. I cannot thank God enough. Kerry and Janice enabled me in school fees throughout the primary [elementary] and secondary levels. They are a blessing to me. May ALMIGHTY Lord bless them always and grant their heart desires.” Gladys went on to college and earned a Diploma course in nursing.
Today she works at Machakos Level 5 General Hospital, the largest referral hospital in the county. “I thank God for His blessings upon my life. I prayed to God to give me strength, wisdom, and grace…. He has never let me down and I have a testimony…. Thank you TUMAINI Family! You are such a blessing to my life. My life is blessed and am thankful to the LORD.”
Thank you everyone who has sponsored a vulnerable child-like Gladys and given them new hope and a future. We have hundreds of success stories and each one of them is unique. Thank you for creating these stories of hope. It only costs $38 a month to change someone’s life like Gladys. If you would like to help a vulnerable girl or boy through sponsorship, please call us or go online TODAY and begin the journey of transforming a life!
I am eternally grateful for your amazing partnership in changing lives…one child, one village, at a time.
Sincerely,
