What difference does sponsoring one child make?

What difference does sponsoring one child make?

Our staff recently caught up with Ann Mulili who shared her story from trial to triumph.  Ann recalled,” After my husband passed on, life became hard. I was the only person paying bills for me and my son Samuel and I had no work. “She and Samuel could not even afford housing.

Then, Ann met the local pastor who referred her to Tumaini International.  Ann shared that her late husband’s long-term illness had left the family in poverty.  She needed help making ends meet and Samuel needed an opportunity to attend school.  Ann was offered a job at the church and Samuel was sponsored by Dean and Lois. Someone else leaned in and offered Ann a low-cost apartment. “I really thanked God that Tumaini came through and could pay Samuel’s school fees and catered for everything he needed.”, Ann said appreciatively.

Samuel finished high school and went on to college.  He now works as an Electrician and operates his own business Mulili Electrical Services Company. Samuel built his mum a home complete with a clean water system and now he provides all her needs.  Ann is so grateful to Tumaini for the partnership they provided.

One donor.  One child.  So many lives changed.  This is the impact Tumaini brings to Kenya.  When you educate one child, you lift him/her and the family out of poverty and make a positive impact on the community.  What difference does sponsoring one child really make?  Ask Ann Mulili.  She will gladly tell you all about it.
