The success of soft spoken 22-year-old Jacinta is a testimony to resilience and hard work. By the time Jacinta was only nine years old, both her parents had passed away. She and her three siblings were left in a destitute situation, but an uncle took them in. However, there was no money to pay for the children’s basic needs, especially education. That is when Tumaini intervened, and Jacinta was sponsored by The Mulleys to enter high school.
The Mulleys was a Kenya business partnering with Tumaini locally to organize annual marathon events to sponsor vulnerable children like Jacinta. After successfully completing her high school at Tumaini International Girls High School, Jacinta joined university and was sponsored by Dr. Marion till her graduation last year.
Today, Jacinta is a proud Geography and Kiswahili high school teacher. We are proud of Jacinta. Despite a challenging background, she has been resilient in her academic work and today she is helping develop the minds of Kenya children.
We are grateful to the Mulleys and Dr. Marion for their investment in this amazing young woman. Jacinta is a testimony that child sponsorship works. Investing just $38 monthly in a vulnerable child will give them a chance to live, learn and completely transform their life. TODAY we have vulnerable children available for sponsorship. Kindly follow the link and see the children who are available on our wait list. TODAY You can change their sad story to a happy one just like Jacinta’s.
