Sponsor A Kilimanjaro Climber
for only $35!
From July 9th to July 17th, this year, several adventurers will be climbing Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest point in Africa! The main purpose for this courageous adventure is to raise funds for a lifesaving surgery room at Tumaini Mission Hospital. These amazing climbers are: Our fearless leader, Stanley Mutunga along with Steve John, Judy Nzeki, Carla Spradlin, Jason Nate, Patrick Nate, and Marc & Lauralea Sissing.
Now there is one surgery room at the hospital, but ideally, we need to equip a second room with the ability to do much more. According to our hospital administrator, Michael, this new facility will have “advanced operation lights with a camera for telemedicine; a four-way operation bed; an anesthesia machine; a screen panel for telemedicine; surgical sets, such as assorted, general set, orthopedic set, a laparoscopy machine, and trolleys, among others.” This level of equipment will make it possible for specialists to participate in complex surgeries remotely. Our overall goal is to raise $72,000 for this project. The climbers have done a remarkable job in raising funds in support of this project but would love your support to reach the goal. We are asking you to prayerfully consider supporting either a specific participant or a donation to cover the climbers.
Any donation will be appreciated; however, you may want to consider the option to sponsor per mile instead. For example, from the base of the Lemosho route to the summit it is approximately thirty-five miles (yes it will take us a week to cover thirty-five miles via Lemosho route to reach the top, 20,000 feet above sea level!). So, you may decide to sponsor a climber per mile. For example, you can donate $35, $70, $140, $280, $500, or any other amount per mile
Thank you in advance for your generous contributions to making this life saving project a success.
