Meet Our New Staff in Kenya

Meet Our New Staff in Kenya

From a modest team of one just over two decades ago, Tumaini has grown to include 64 full-time and 25 part-time staff members. For those who have participated in a vision trip, you know we are blessed with the most dedicated staff any organization could hope for! Rose and I are truly grateful to God for sending these incredible men and women to work alongside us.

This week, we’re excited to introduce you to our newest team members, who are playing critical roles as we continue to serve our surrounding communities: Jane, George, Chadianya, and Peter.

Jane joined Tumaini Mission Hospital at the beginning of this month as a pharmaceutical technologist. Previously, Jane was a long-time patient at Tumaini. We are thrilled to have her on the team, now serving the community that once served her.

Dr. Chadianya joined Tumaini Mission Hospital in August. He brings exceptional medical expertise and leadership skills to our already talented team. We are excited about his contributions as we continue to grow. He shared, “What compelled me to apply to Tumaini is the organization’s vision. I come from an underserved community, and it was the support of strangers that enabled me to pursue my education. Tumaini’s work for vulnerable children inspires me to serve here every day.”

Peter also joined us in August as the head of the Human Resources and Administration department. He comes with a wealth of experience from similar roles in major institutions. Peter’s sense of humor, joyful demeanor, and deep Christian faith will greatly benefit our organization. When asked about his move to a smaller organization far from his home region, he said, “Having worked in many institutions, I find Tumaini unique in its growth. The staff are very welcoming, and every day I feel at home.”

George, our Finance Manager, comes at a pivotal moment as Tumaini expands and requires top financial expertise. With extensive experience in senior accounting roles, we’re grateful he has chosen to join us. When asked why he left larger opportunities, George stated, “As a Christian, what attracted me to Tumaini is its foundation on Christian principles. I believe this will help me grow both professionally and spiritually.”

As a Tumaini family, we are excited to welcome these four new staff members and anticipate more joining us throughout the year. We look forward to adding more doctors, healthcare professionals, and support staff in the coming months. This growth is only possible through your prayers and financial support.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to you and, more importantly, to God for allowing us to impact the lives of thousands of vulnerable children and their communities through our dedicated staff. If you would like to make a donation or pledge for the ongoing completion of our hospital equipment, please do so today. Thank you for your unwavering support of the work God is doing in Kenya through Tumaini.
