Appeal for Naomi's Family

Appeal for Naomi's Family

Meet Naomi, a courageous single mother and the sole breadwinner for her six children. Life was secure for her and her family until 2018, when tragedy struck; Naomi’s husband, the family’s provider, passed away after a short illness. Naomi had no choice but to step into his shoes. With no formal employment in low agricultural output due to unpredictable and unreliable rainfall, for her the future became uncertain. Determined to care for her children, Naomi turned to casual labor to substitute for whatever little she got from farming. But with the soaring cost of living, she found herself overwhelmed.
Naomi’s peace was short-lived in her husband’s home. Just a year after his death, she was forcefully evicted by members of the extended family from the small piece of land she had inherited, rendering her and her children homeless. However, she sought refuge in her maternal home, where her biological father, assisted by other well-wishers, built a modest shelter for her and gave her a piece of land to farm. Despite all this, economic hardship looms large. Some days, Naomi’s family survives on just one meal, and on others, without even a single meal. However, through it all, Naomi’s spirit remains unshaken. She volunteers at the local school to keep her children from being sent home for unpaid fees. Her dream is simple but profound: to see her children get an education and break the cycle of poverty.
This family urgently needs sponsorship, particularly for school fees, uniforms, and daily necessities. These six bright young lives are waiting and hoping for a helping hand to achieve their dreams and change the story of their lives and the family at large:

Beatrice (15, Grade 9)
Being the firstborn girl, Beatrice dreams of becoming a nurse. Her favorite subjects are science and English, and she’s a proud member of her school’s handball team. She loves reading novels in her spare time.

Stephen (13, Grade 3)
Stephen’s education was delayed due to lack of school fees. He dreams of being a mechanical engineer and enjoys playing football with his friends whenever he can.

Mwikali (8, Grade 2)
A gentle and thoughtful girl. Mwikali aspires to be a teacher. Her love for learning shines in the classroom.

Mueni (6, Grade 1)
Mueni dreams of being a teacher. Despite her young age, she helps care for her toddler twin brothers and assists with fetching firewood for cooking

Brian  (3 years old)
These lively twin boys are the youngest in the family. They’re expected to start their schooling next year 2026.

We appeal for well-wishers to join Naomi’s journey.
Sponsoring these children means giving them hope and a chance to thrive. It’s about nurturing dreams, restoring dignity, and creating a brighter future for the entire family. Together, we can turn despair into hope.
