Every so often, a story comes along that beautifully captures the long‑term impact of your generosity. Alvin's journey is one of those stories.

Alvin joined the Tumaini Sponsorship Program in 2009 as a young boy who had lost both parents and was being raised by his elderly grandparents. Life was uncertain, but your support helped provide stability, education, and hope during his most vulnerable years.

In 2017, Alvin received a single cow through Tumaini’s guardian empowerment initiative. That one gift changed everything. Over time, one cow multiplied into six creating a sustainable source of income that would later fund Alvin’s college education.

After completing high school in 2022, Alvin pursued his dream of becoming an automotive engineer. Because of the livestock he had been entrusted with, he paid his own college fees without struggle. Today, Alvin is a qualified engineer, gainfully employed, and able to support the grandparents who once supported him.

Reflecting on his journey, Alvin shared: "I am very grateful to Tumaini for believing in my potential and investing in my life. I also sincerely thank my sponsors for the wonderful gift...the gift of life change.”
