Mobile Medical Outreach

Mobile Medical Outreach

Over the past month we have conducted two one-day medical outreach clinics to the village of Manza and the bustling town of Kyumbi in Machakos County. During our mobile medical outreach, we normally partner with our sister organization, Christian Chapel Kenya.  This partnership enables us to provide Christian counseling alongside the medical services.  What a privilege to serve communities who have so many health challenges but are either unable to pay for the services or do not have medical facilities within reach.  Many times, it is both a case of access and affordability. The common diseases treated were hypertension, amoebiasis, peptic ulcer, and upper respiratory tract infection diseases.  We are doing cancer screening, HIV testing, family planning, and nutritional reviews, among other services.

On Saturday October 24th, we conducted an outreach in Manzawhere we were hosted by Machakos Christian Chapel for the day.  A total of 253 patients were treated and relieved of many ailments.  Last Saturday November 14th, we were hosted by South Hills Kyumbi Christian Chapel and treated 236 patients from that fast-growing town.  We are grateful to South Hills Community Church, Corona, California who adopted the town of Kyumbi last year.  Through this partnership tens of vulnerable children have been sponsored and a new church launched.

Thank you for supporting our healthcare services.  Some of you give designated funds to help with our medical clinic and that is how we can sponsor these mobile outreaches.  Thank you!  If you would like to give a donation of any size to further these services, please do so TODAY.

Sincerely,

Stanley Mutunga
President/CEO

COVID-19 UPDATE:

As of Wednesday, November 18th, 2020:

  • The daily positivity cases have remained high this week.

  • 72,686 total confirmed cases, an increase or 6,882 new cases in one week, slightly lower than previous week.

  • 1313 total deaths recorded with 133 more dying this week (slightly higher compared to previous week).

  • The cases are reported in all the 47 Counties. Clearly, we are headed the wrong direction and it remains to be seen what further measures the government will take in the coming days to mitigate the community spread.

  • We continue to thank God for His protection. All the children and the families that we support remain safe. Our staff are all doing well and continuing to serve.
