For many years, TuBE — the Tumaini Bible Experience Camp has been one of the most meaningful parts of a sponsored child’s year. These camps were more than school break activities — they were places where sponsored children found hope, encouragement, friendship, and the love of Christ in ways that shaped their lives.

Many of our students come from challenging home environments: families affected by substance abuse, loss, instability, or little spiritual foundation. TuBE Camp created a space where they could feel safe, supported, and seen. It was a place where they could ask questions, hear the Good News, and experience the joy of being part of a community that cares for them.

During camp, children gathered for worship, Bible teaching, testimonies, small‑group discussions, and counseling. But they also shared meals, played games, laughed together, and enjoyed the simple joy of being kids. For many, TuBE Camp was where they formed friendships that made them feel part of the Tumaini family — a place where they belonged.

The impact was remarkable. Children made decisions of faith. Others found renewed confidence, emotional healing, and a sense of purpose. The encouragement they received at camp stayed with them long after the week ended.

This year, we hope to bring TuBE Camps back.

But rising costs in Kenya have made it difficult to fund these gatherings. It costs just $50 to send one child to camp — covering transportation, meals, discipleship materials, and all camp activities.

As we prepare for the months ahead, we are inviting our Tumaini family to help us open this door again.
