Lucy, a recent graduate from a beauty therapy & beautician program is full of praise for our medical staff: “I would like to really appreciate Michael and Ruth who handled me with care and walked with me in such a journey.” Lucy had come to Tumaini Mission Hospital with a swelling in the throat. She was diagnosed with a thyroid adenoma condition, a situation that needed to be controlled soon before it could get worse. Lucy was taken to another hospital where she was operated on and within two weeks she had fully recovered.
While we are grateful for other facilities where we can take our sponsored children like Lucy, we are eagerly looking forward to a day when such surgeries can be done at Tumaini Mission Hospital. The completion and equipment installation at our hospital will not only make such services easily accessible but they will also be cheaper and done by our very caring medical team.
Lucy is thankful to Doug who sponsored her since she was in grade four until completion of her college education. We are grateful to everyone who sponsors a child/children because when you sponsor a child, his/her healthcare is catered for as well. Of course, some complicated cases cost more but most of the time, we can pay the difference through our Hope Fund. This is why it is critical to complete and equip our hospital and it will cut expenses for travel and related costs. Thank you to everyone who has donated toward this facility. If you have not had a chance to donate, would you prayerfully consider a one time or recurring donation toward the completion of our hospital?
Thank you for your partnership as we continue to offer hope to vulnerable children and their communities, especially through healthcare.
