For young people in Kenya, those dreams are no different. At Tumaini, we walk alongside high school graduates who are ready to rise—who want to lift their families out of poverty and become changemakers in their communities. Some dream of becoming doctors. Others want to be engineers, teachers, or social workers. But in rural Kenya, where families earn less than $2 a day, the cost of college—just $160 a month—is an impossible barrier.

There are no reliable government loans. Local scholarships are rare. And no unskilled job will ever pay enough. Imagine having the talent, the drive, the heart—and being sidelined by a number.
