A Grateful Mother
“I was worried that my last two kids will also become school dropouts just like their elder sisters and brother. But Tumaini has brought real hope in my family,” narrates Joyce, a widow and mother of five.
Joyce’s husband passed away over twenty years ago and she was left to take care of the family without a job and practically no income. Before Joyce was introduced to Tumaini, her three oldest kids had dropped out of school and she was desperately looking for help to create a new future for her last two. Through your generosity, Joyce was connected to Tumaini and her younger children, Kennedy & Pauline got sponsored in 2013. Pauline is now in grade 11 in Tumaini Girls High School while Kennedy is in grade 7.
Joyce is extremely grateful for the hope she has gotten since the sponsorship of Pauline and Kennedy.
‘’Since then, a lot has changed for my family. Through Tumaini, the family received a cow gift in the year 2015 and in the year 2018, the cow gave birth to a calf. Before gift of a cow, we could not afford milk tea in the morning and we were used to strong tea, but since the cow gave birth, we are able to enjoy tea with milk every morning. …My daughter is now getting quality education in Tumaini Girls, a very good Girls school…I am certain that she will do well and join University. Thank you Tumaini and all the donors for rekindling my hopes."
Joyce is speaking for many parents and guardians who have been recipients of hope. Through your generosity their futures are forever changed. I cannot thank you enough for the enormous changes you are making in the lives of thousands of vulnerable families in Kenya. Simply by donating $38 a month you are making indelible changes. If you would like to sponsor a boy or a girl (like Kennedy and Pauline) and begin to write a story of hope in a child’s life, please call us or go online TODAY and become a channel of hope to a needy child.
