Passing on Hope to Others | Cosmas

"After the demise of my parents in 2003, the world literally sunk. For next three years, I went through a life-harrowing experience.  But in 2006 while in high school God brought into my life a man I owe so much,   Dr. John who sponsored me through Tumaini international” -Cosmas.

It is such a joy to end the year by sharing the success story of Cosmas. A focused and dedicated student, Cosmas has been blessed to perform very well in school.  After excelling in high school, he went on to study at Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT) where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Food Science with First Class Honors. In 2015 he received a scholarship to study at Tennessee State University, and a few weeks ago, Cosmas graduated with a Masters Science Degree, in Food Science.

Like many others, Cosmas is grateful for the opportunity that Tumaini has afforded him all the way to graduate level. He puts it best: “No appreciation is enough to God through Tumaini for the great kindness which has provided me with hope and courage to live a better life.”

Because of this hope and kindness, early this year, Cosmas started sponsoring Joan, a young girl who is a freshman at Tumaini International Girls High School. He says this about the sponsorship:  “This is an opportunity for me to extend the generosity and kindness that I received from Dr. John to someone less fortunate.” This attitude of Cosmas is the most authentic and innate example of receiving and passing hope on to someone else. But this is also your success! All these amazing stories of the great work that our alumni are doing would not be possible without your participation.
