Travels in Kenya

Meet Hannah, Hannah is a highschooler who traveled to Kenya for the first time this summer. Here are some of her thoughts on the experience:

I heard about Tumaini International.... 

I grew up attending the student ministry at Knott Avenue Christian Church, who always spoke about Tumaini. The leaders made a giant piggy bank for all the students to put money in for Tumaini. They always made sure that we new want Tumaini meant, hope. Not just hope for something random, but hope for kids our age on the other side of the world. Giving them the opportunity to be educated, and give them the opportunity to have the chances we have.

Visiting Africa was...

This was my first time in Africa. I was pretty excited! My parents told me how the people were so welcoming, and how they cherished our presence.

The highlight of the trip was...

I would say that the highlight moment of the trip was actually meeting people who I admired through pictures and stories from my parents past trip. I got to feel their welcoming personalities and the warmness of their hugs.
